About Us

Sunbury Chiropractic Centre was started by Nicholas J Oram in October 2006 and soon expanded to incorporate the Glebe Street Chiropractic Centre in Chiswick when he was invited to work alongside Drs Christine Gardiner and Mumuksh Patel at the Glebe Street GP Surgery. The combination of medical and chiropractic treatment available from one centre has proven to be very effective in the co-management of neuro-musculoskeletal conditions. (NB Chiropractic is also available to patients who are not registered at the Glebe Street Surgery.)

Sunbury and Glebe Street Chiropractic Centres offer an opportunity for everyone in the community to experience and benefit from chiropractic. Patients of all ages, from new born babies to the elderly, can have chiropractic care.

Chiropractic specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions which are due to mechanical dysfunction of the skeletal joints, particularly those of the spine, and their effects on the nervous system.

Chiropractic offers a safe, gentle and effective method of treatment which utilises the body’s natural healing potential and is the most widely used complementary health care profession in the world.

The Sunbury and Glebe Street Chiropractic Centres aim to use a holistic approach to patient management including nutritional, ergonomic and postural advice to complement the specific chiropractic treatment. Home exercises or advice on the return to work and physical activity are provided to ensure a good long term recovery.

As a chiropractor, Nicholas was trained in radiography and radiology (taking and reading x-rays) and is therefore qualified to refer patients privately to a number of NHS facilities and other private practices / hospitals to have an x-ray or MRI taken.

As a patient you will receive the highest standard of care and attention and will be treated for your general health and well being, not just the symptoms that you are
aware of. The General Medical Council allows GPs to refer their patients to chiropractors, supported by guide lines from the Royal College of General Practitioners recommending manipulation for back pain (Clinical Guidelines for the Management of Acute Low Back Pain, Royal College of General Practitioners, September 1996). Our policy is to work closely with your General Practitioner.
