As a professional rugby player I have always been proactive in keeping myself fit
and well and chiropractic has really helped me do that. Nick checks me regularly
to fix any injuries I have but he also looks for mechanical problems which could
lead to an injury in the future.
Any rugby fans will know that in Tonga we play a very physical style of rugby and
so it is important that I have Nick keeping all my muscles and joints in good shape,
so when I make a big hit, it’s me who gets up first!
I have been an advocate for chiropractic for many years and have found it to be
very beneficial not only when I have injuries but for keeping my body in good alignment
and balance. I have been to see Nick during my Senior Tour matches over the last
few years and can now appreciate when I need adjustment before symptoms start. I
want to keep my body in shape and make sure I can continue to play at a competitive
level for as long as possible and chiropractic will help me do that
I spent ten years playing first class cricket, accumulating injuries and having
to play through them. Bowling in particular takes its toll and I now can see how
I would have benefited from regular chiropractic treatment through my playing career.
I still play sport and now I teach it and I feel we should take care in maintaining
our musculoskeletal health for the long term. Nick has provided me with chiropractic
care to help me maintain joint and muscle flexibility and to keep my spine in balance.
I can certainly recommend Nick to anyone who has an ambition for a career in competitive
sport.
Even after a gentle game of golf my lower back would be in a terrible state. The following morning I would walk around like an old man. But what finally did it for me was the fact that my hamstring went for the third time in a year which would put my beloved tennis out of the question.
So something had to be done. I was recommended to Nick and it was the first time that I had been to a chiropractor. He pointed out to me that my pelvis was “frozen” and that until this was released my hamstring would continue to tear. He then set about my back with gusto.
Some two months later I am a different guy. I have just won a minor golf competition without any back issues and play tennis to my hearts content without tearing my hamstring. Thank you, Nick.
I have seen Nick for chiropractic treatment since 2004 and found it very helpful
for a variety of complaints. I have been recommending patients to go to Nick ever
since and in 2007 invited him to join our practice in Chiswick. We have a very forward
thinking and proactive practice and find a combined approach to managing our patients
very successful.
We have benefited from seeing Nick for chiropractic treatment since 2001 and feel
that it has helped with our performance as well as keeping us relatively injury
free. Achieving success in sport requires ability and good coaching but also being
able to keep training and competing with out picking up injuries along the way.
Coordination and balance is everything to us, and these are regularly assessed even
when we are symptom free to give us the edge in competition. Our goal is to keep
in shape for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Sunbury Chiropractic Centre works closely with head coach Sarah Silvester and the
members of the Kingston Trampoline Academy to reduce injuries and enhance performance.

I have been treated by Nick since he practiced in Yorkshire in 1997, but as business
takes me to London I have continued to come for treatment to help me deal with the
aches and pains I get with work and travelling. I prefer to do that than rely on
pain killers after a long day as so many people do these days.
